Hungarian Foreign Minister’s Visit to Dhaka

Dhaka, 9 September 2020,
Mr. Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, is expected to pay an official visit to Bangladesh on 10 September 2020. He is scheduled to arrive early in the morning on the same day. The Hungarian Foreign Minister will participate in a bilateral meeting with Bangladesh Foreign Minister Dr. A.K. Abdul Momen.

Hungarian Foreign Minister Szijjártó will visit the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Memorial Museum in the morning on 10 September 2020 and pay tribute to the memories of the Father of the Nation and his family members who were brutally killed in 1975. After that he will meet Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi.

Foreign Minister Momen may host a lunch in honour of the visiting Hungarian minister. Two Foreign Ministersmay meet the local press. BTV will anchor a 20-minutes interview with the Hungarian Foreign Minister. It is expected that more than two instruments will be signed during the visit of the Hungarian Foreign Minister. Mr. Szijjártó is scheduled to depart Dhaka in the evening of 10 September 2020.
